派克PRDM系列元件為直動式減壓閥。主要用于將液壓系統中的某一支路壓力調節到系統公稱壓力以下的某一預定值。此外,還將該支路的溢流功能集于一體。壓力表接口或測量接口直接在元件上,以便控制支路壓力。派克PRDM系列減壓閥為常開元件,在設定值以下它允許油液自由地流過控制流道。當下游流道中壓力升高至預調節的壓力時,閥芯向關閉的方向移動,以減少來自主系統的流量,緩沖柱塞將自行調整,以維持預定的支路系統壓力。當支路系統壓力由于外力作用升高時,緩沖柱塞將克服彈簧力移動并且使大量的油液流回油箱,使壓力不再繼續升高.
